The latest Intel Core i7-12700 processor featured with 8 Golden Cove cores but cut down the Gracemont cores to 4. This comes with 12 cores (8+4) and 20 threads (16+4). The P-cores (Golden Cove) will operate at a base frequency of 2.10 GHz and a maximum boost frequency of up to 4.80 GHz. The i7-12700 Alder Lake Processor will feature 25 MB of L3 cache and TDP values are maintained at 65 W.
This Processor has eight high-performance (P) cores, an unknown number of energy-efficient (E) cores (which may be disabled on this unit), and can execute up to 16 threads while operating at 2.10 GHz Up to 4.80 GHz Clock Speed. The Intel Core i7-12700 Alder Lake CPU will feature both DDR5 and DDR4 memory controllers. High-end motherboards will retain DDR5 while the more mainstream offerings will open up DDR4 support too. This 12th Gen Core i7 comes with Mobo Socket LGA 1700, 64 Bit Width, 2 Memory Channels with Maximum memory of 256 GB capacity, it has thermal design power (TDP) rating of 125W. This Core i7 12th Gen processor has few expansion options also.
The Core i7-12700 comes with two more early benchmark appearances. For reference, the Core i7-12700 is a 12-core processor with 8 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. Intel will announce its Alder Lake-S desktop processor family next week, with an official launch shortly, According to previous reports.
Intel’s new Alder Lake processors have shown a significant performance improvement over their last-gen counterparts, and the new Core i7-12700 is no different. This is essentially a locked version of the Core i7-12700K CPU, but it offers almost the same level of performance as the fully unlocked part. one of the best options out there right now for high-end gaming rigs.
You can easily pair it with, say, a good-quality B660 motherboard and walk away. That’s less than what you’d spend for buying just a Ryzen 9 or an equivalent processor. The Intel Core i7-12700 is an excellent chip and I highly recommend considering it over the 12600K or even the 12700K if you’re not interested in overclocking. Pair it with a potent CPU cooler as I did, and it’ll come close to matching the general performance of even the Intel Core i9-12900K in many applications without breaking a sweat.
The Intel Core i7-12700 went on sale earlier this year along with a bunch of other new desktop parts from the Alder Lake family. If you are going to use a discrete GPU, then we recommend picking up the Intel Core i7-12700F variant of the chip, which is essentially the same as the 12700, except this one has no integrated GPU. Both variants of the processor are readily available on the market right now. You can also buy the Core i7-12700K if you want to overclock to get more performance out of your CPU.
The Latest Intel 12th Gen i7-12700 comes with 03 years warranty
